Tricia Rauen Evenson is an award-winning Creative Director, designer, painter, and writer whose career spans over four decades in both graphic design and fine art, including branding, copywriting, editing, and exhibiting as a professional artist across the West Coast. Rooted in a lifelong devotion to creative inquiry and artistic expression, Tricia passionately explores the intersection of creativity, beauty, embodiment, and human potential. As co-author of Creatrix Generation, she draws upon this lifetime pursuit to invite readers into a richer understanding of creativity as both a transformative process and a conscious way of living.
Carrie Clark-Kenny, PhD is an archetypal theorist, social business strategist, and creative writer whose extensive education and experience thrives in discovering the cutting edge of personal and societal evolution in hopes of creating a more engaged, impactful, and strengthened connection to the soul of life. Her training in numerous personality models, consciousness raising, and philanthropic frameworks reflect her advocacy for marginalized groups, children, the arts, and environmental stewardship. She maintains a private poetry practice, adores photographic forays, and is a rare bird indeed.
The task we have undertaken in exploring and defining what it is to be a Creatrix has been life-changing for us. Our individual and allied journey throughout this powerful partnership has been in service to expanding our creative expression, trusting in our voice and messages, disseminating our revelations, stepping into new forms of leadership, and manifesting the life of our dreams.
Notes from the field
In the vast canvas of existence, we believe that every life event unfolds with purpose, each one orchestrated by the universe to teach, awaken, and guide us toward our ultimate destination. Likewise, the people who cross our paths arrive not by chance but through divine timing, each fulfilling a sacred role, whether for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. These connections become catalysts for our evolution, offering countless opportunities to heal old wounds, transform through love and challenge, and create together in meaningful ways. Some develop slowly, ripening with time, while others ignite instantly in a profound and magnetic resonance. For the two of us, meeting each other was an encounter that embodied both—the instant spark of recognition and the slow unfurling of kindred connection.
Since the inception of this work together, we’ve engaged in meaningful conversations about the nature of creation and what it means to live a life by design versus by circumstance. We have come to appreciate that while we cannot always change outer circumstances, we are able to access our agency and groundedness within. In short, we’ve determined that Creatrixes are much more interested in varied perspectives that keep broadening into new realities.
Everyone has a story to tell with a creative throughline whether realized or not, fully articulated or still emerging. Our arrival as the co-authors of this book at this place in time came from following the breadcrumbs on our own paths toward a consciously created life. To have contacted a co-creative partner first within, and then simultaneously alongside one another, we located a comrade in arms. Given the particularities of each of our mythic lives and backgrounds, the journey towards strengthening our relationship with the creative forces that funds our life, joined almost seamlessly, magically, into something wondrous and beautiful.
This is our collective offering and call to action: to remember your creative essence, to ask beautiful questions, and step fully into the soulwork of becoming an innovative agent in the revolution of a lifetime.
